Ranchi is buzzing with devotion as preparations intensify for the grand Phalgun Utsav on February 27. Organized by Shri Shyam Sangh at the Sri Radha Vallabh Temple in Upper Bazaar, this annual celebration on the auspicious Phalgun Shukla Ekadashi promises a spectacle of faith and fervor.
Shri Shyam Sangh President Kamlesh Sanchati announced that the highlight will be a majestic procession starting at 7 AM from the temple. Featuring 501 holy flags, or ‘nishans,’ the shobhayatra will weave through the city’s key streets before culminating at the Shri Shyam Temple on Agrasen Path. Devotees will perform traditional rituals, offering the sacred flags to Baba Shyam amid chants and prayers.
Extensive arrangements are underway to ensure a seamless event. Vinayak Poddar leads as convener, with Ashish Agarwal as co-convener. A dedicated team including Anil Lohia, Harendra Agarwal, Sanjay Sureka, Saurabh Kataruka, Rupesh Lohia, and Saurabh Bathwal is working tirelessly. The program will feature soul-stirring bhajans, keertans, and special poojas, transforming the atmosphere into a divine realm.
This utsav draws thousands of Shyam bhakts each year, fostering community spirit and religious harmony. Organizers urge maximum participation to make the celebration unforgettable. As Ranchi’s skyline prepares for this spiritual extravaganza, the city anticipates a day filled with blessings and joy.
