A heartbreaking incident has occurred in the Khunti district of Jharkhand, resulting in the death of two children who drowned in a pond. The event took place in the Rania police station jurisdiction, at Baghiya RC Toli, on Sunday around 5 pm. The victims were identified as 10-year-old Ashish Kerketta and 9-year-old Bilfred Marki. When the children didn’t come home, relatives searched the neighborhood until late at night, but could not find them. On Monday morning, a person from the village, who was on his way to the pond, found the bodies and informed the villagers. The Rania police arrived at the village, gathered information from the families and sent the bodies to the Sadar Hospital Khunti for a post-mortem. The families are in a state of profound grief.
