Authorities in Palamu have taken action against two prominent Naxalites, Shshikant Ji and Mukdev Yadav, by issuing notices at their residences. Shshikant Ji, a sub-zonal commander of the TSPC, carries a substantial bounty, and both he and Mukdev Yadav have been warned to surrender. Failure to comply will result in property attachment. The notices were posted publicly to ensure widespread awareness.
The move comes after an armed clash between police and Shshikant Ji’s TSPC unit in the Tarahasi police station area on May 2, 2025. After the clash, both Shshikant and other members of his group went into hiding. The police are continuing their search and taking appropriate legal actions.
