With the Bihar Assembly elections on the horizon, Palamu police are taking proactive steps to ensure a secure border. A special campaign is actively monitoring the inter-state frontier to prevent unlawful activities and maintain order. Areas within Palamu district that share a border with Bihar, including Pipra, Hariharganj, Haidernagar, Japla, Manatu, Dewri OP, Naudihia OP, and Naudihia Thana, are under heightened police presence. Extensive vehicle inspections are being conducted, with a close watch on passengers and individuals who may pose a security risk. The operation aims to intercept contraband like illegal liquor, large cash amounts, and weapons. This vigilant operation, ordered by the Superintendent of Police, Palamu, is ongoing day and night. All police station chiefs have been directed to increase their patrolling efforts and establish more checkpoints. Palamu police emphasize the importance of public cooperation in upholding peace and fairness during the election period and request immediate reporting of any suspicious occurrences.
