A wave of burglaries has struck Baijnath Nagar in Tilaiya, Koderma, with thieves successfully raiding three homes overnight on Sunday. The criminals made away with a considerable haul of cash and jewelry, causing significant distress to the affected families. Reports indicate that while one attempted burglary failed, two residences experienced substantial losses. A peculiar detail emerged from one of the crime scenes: the presence of a discarded liquor bottle, leading investigators to believe the thieves may have consumed alcohol prior to the break-ins. This finding points to a particularly brazen execution of the crimes. Local law enforcement, Tilaiya police, are on-site and have commenced a thorough investigation. Anil Saw, a victim, explained that he was out of town visiting Gaon Chhatiyari when neighbors alerted him to the damage to his home. Upon his return, he found his belongings ransacked and confirmed the theft of around three lakh rupees in cash along with valuable jewelry. Police are actively pursuing all available leads.
