Jharkhand’s Raj Bhavan is now officially known as ‘Lok Bhavan’. The announcement came via an order from Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, on Wednesday. This name change signifies a move towards a more inclusive and democratic representation of the Governor’s office. The notification specifies that this change is effective for the Raj Bhavans in both Ranchi and Dumka. Following approvals from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the state Governor, the transformation aims to connect the institution more closely with the public. All official stationery, records, and public signage will soon display the new name, Lok Bhavan.
