Railway authorities have reported the seizure of a large quantity of firecrackers, valued at Rs 23,182, by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Muri Railway Station. The RPF, operating under the directive of Commandant Pawan Kumar in the Ranchi division, has intensified its surveillance measures to ensure passenger safety and prevent illegal activities. During a routine but rigorous inspection, officers spotted a large, unclaimed white bag on Platform 1 of the 18626 Express train. A thorough search uncovered a collection of diverse pyrotechnic devices with an estimated worth exceeding 23 thousand rupees. Despite efforts to identify the owner through announcements, the bag remained unclaimed. The RPF’s flying squad, including ASI Anil Kumar, ASI R.K. Singh, Dinesh Prasad, and Hemant, officially seized the items and transferred them to the RPF post at Muri for safekeeping and investigation.
