An act of violence in Khunti, Jharkhand, has left one person dead and another seriously wounded. On Friday night, two friends riding a motorcycle were targeted in an attack. Following a report from villagers, the police arrived at the scene. The authorities secured the deceased’s body for a post-mortem and launched a manhunt for the individuals responsible.

The victims were traveling home from the Saiko weekly market when they were attacked near Kocharidih village. The attackers initially threw chili powder into the eyes of the victims, causing them to crash their motorcycle. Subsequently, individuals on two other motorcycles attacked Choyta Surukud with a sharp weapon, leading to his death.
