    Model code of conduct issued for 45– Ghatshila (ST) Assembly constituency

    Voting on November 11 and counting on November 14 in Ghatshila by-election – K. Ravi Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer.

    Ranchi. Chief Electoral Officer Shri K. Ravi Kumar has said that the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented by the Election Commission of India for the by-election in 45– Ghatshila (ST) assembly constituency. He informed that the commission has announced the date of voting on November 11 and counting on November 14 for the by-election. He said that the Model Code of Conduct will be implemented only in the Ghatshila constituency after the announcement of the by-election. Shri K. Ravi Kumar was addressing the media representatives from the Election House for the announcement related to the elections in the Ghatshila assembly constituency.

    The Chief Electoral Officer said that the total number of voters in the Ghatshila assembly constituency is 2,55,823. In which 1,24,899 are male and 1,30,921 are female voters. He informed that webcasting will be done through CCTV at all polling stations during the by-election, and check posts will be set up within the assembly constituency and on the borders, which will also be monitored through webcasting by CCTV.

    Shri K. Ravi Kumar said that the polling stations with more than 1200 voters in the Ghatshila assembly constituency have been rationalized. After which the total number of polling stations has become 300 at 218 polling station locations in the assembly constituency.

    On this occasion, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Shri Subodh Kumar and officials of the Chief Electoral Officer’s office were present.
