The controversies surrounding Inspector Meera Singh have led to a new set of challenges. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has named Meera Singh, former in-charge of Tupuudana OP, as an accused and filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) in case ECIR 8/2025. The court has not yet considered the ED’s PC. The ED had previously conducted a raid on Inspector Meera Singh’s premises in March of the previous year. The raid resulted in the recovery of ₹12.50 lakh in cash from the accused’s locations. The ED has taken over the case initiated by the ACB. Inspector Meera Singh is the first police officer to be accused by the ED in any case. She is presently on bail in a case that the ACB is handling.
