Authorities are investigating a social media video in which a man threatened to bomb Ministers Sudivya Kumar and Dr. Irfan Ansari. The police are actively involved in the investigation.

The video shows a man who identifies himself as Ankit Kumar Mishra, a resident of Giridih, stating his intention to bomb the two ministers within 24 hours. He claims to have been threatened with religious conversion and targeted in a land dispute, involving an assault where a pistol was allegedly forced into his mouth. Mishra is demanding an apology from the individuals involved in the assault or warns of action. He also boasts connections with a major gangster.

The video makes reference to Jamui, Bihar, and that the man was at an NDA conference. He also stated his family was not supporting him and that he had written a disclaimer absolving his family. He repeatedly stated he would only be satisfied after carrying out the bombing.

Giridih Police have acknowledged the video, with Mufassil Police Station In-charge Inspector Shyam Kishore Mahto confirming the investigation is underway, and the suspect’s location has been traced to Bihar.

Upon arriving in Koderma, Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu said that he was unaware of the video. He mentioned that he learned about the threatening video from well-wishers. He stressed that the police are responsible for verifying the video’s authenticity, and that the video itself could be fabricated using AI.
