Major railway accident in Jharkhand: 12 coaches of Howrah Mumbai Mail Express derailed in Chaibasa, two passengers dead, dozens injured

Chakradharpur: A train accident occurred between Rajkharsawan-Badabambo station of Chakradharpur division in Chakradharpur of Chaibasa on Tuesday morning around 3.45 am, 12 coaches of 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mail going from Howrah to Mumbai have derailed. The reason for the accident is being told that a goods train had derailed here two days ago, whose wagons were on the track. At the same time, Howrah-Mumbai Mail was coming from another track and collided with the coaches already lying on the track. After this accident, many bogies derailed. Relief and rescue work is being done on the spot.

This accident happened near pole number 219 near Chakradharpur on the Howrah-Mumbai railway line. 18 coaches of the train derailed in the incident that happened on Tuesday morning. This accident happened due to the collision of the goods train with the bogies already lying here. Two people have died and dozens of passengers have been injured in the accident. Relief and rescue work is going on at the spot. Apart from this, the movement of trains on the Howrah-Mumbai railway line has been stopped. At present, no information has been received about anyone’s death in this accident.
