    In observance of World Mental Health Day, a legal awareness camp was organized in Koderma at the Jeevodaya Institute. The initiative, coordinated by the District Legal Services Authority, Koderma, and supported by Hand in Hand India, Children of India Foundation, Lions Club Koderma, and Marwari Yuva Manch, operated under the esteemed guidance of Bal Krishna Tiwari, President of the District Legal Services Authority.

    Keynote speaker Gautam Kumar, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Koderma, delivered an impactful address on fostering empathy towards individuals with mental health challenges. He advocated for their inclusion and acceptance, stating that they need love and emotional support immensely. Kumar assured that the District Legal Services Authority remains steadfast in its mission to provide aid to anyone in need, irrespective of their financial situation, guaranteeing access to legal recourse for all.

    Rahul Jain, leading the Marwari Yuva Manch, highlighted the necessity of integrating individuals with mental disabilities into societal mainstream, deeming it the core message of the day. He praised the District Legal Services Authority’s commitment. Sujeet Kumar Ambastha from Lions Club Koderma called for a critical analysis of the factors contributing to mental ailments and advised limiting exposure to mobile phones and televisions. Archana Jwala, Nodal Officer of the Sakhi One Stop Center, recognized Jeevodaya as a beacon of inspiration for its dedicated care of individuals with mental health issues. Rupesh Kumar of Hand in Hand India emphasized that sustained emotional connection and care are vital for the well-being of the residents at Jeevodaya, bringing them immense joy.

    Dr. Ashish Raj, a medical professional, commended the organizing authorities. Sister Salomi from Holy Family Nursing School provided an overview of Jeevodaya’s operations and expressed her appreciation for the collective support. Sister Ronita from Jeevodaya formally thanked all the dignitaries and participants. The event featured a welcome song by students from Holy Family Nursing School and a floral tribute to guests from Jeevodaya residents. Ranjit Kumar Singh, a court staff member, skillfully moderated the event. A large number of notable figures attended, including senior advocate Jay Prakash Narayan, and members from various supporting groups.
