A driver, Mansoor Alam, 42, serving in the police line, died by suicide after consuming sulfas. Alam was dealing with significant stress related to his suspension. Before his tragic end, Alam recorded a video where he held two station in-charges accountable, alleging that they were behind his false suspension.

Alam, residing in the police line barracks, contacted his colleagues to inform them he had consumed poison (sulfas). Upon receiving the alarming news, his colleagues rushed to his aid, transporting him to Sadar Hospital Koderma in a critical condition. After initial medical attention, doctors decided to refer him to RIMS, Ranchi. Tragically, Alam did not survive and passed away during treatment.

The deceased’s wife shared that Alam was under severe stress for some time. He had been suspended for three months and had faced suspension twice within a four-month period. In the video released before his suicide, Alam accused Jaynagar police station in-charge Bablu Singh and Domchanch police station in-charge Om Prakash Yadav of fabricating charges, resulting in his suspension. Alam explicitly stated in the video that these officers would be the ones responsible for his demise.
