Tragedy struck in Khunti, Jharkhand, when two friends on a motorcycle were ambushed, resulting in one death and one serious injury. The incident occurred late Friday night. Police responded to the scene after receiving information from local residents. The body has been sent for a post-mortem, and a manhunt for the attackers has been launched.
The victims were en route home from the Saiko weekly market near Kochadih village. The assailants attacked them with chili powder and a sharp weapon. Choyta Sarukad was killed in the assault, and Singa Munda was severely injured. The perpetrators fled the scene after the attack.
Villagers discovered the scene late at night and rushed the injured to a local hospital. Despite medical intervention, Choyta Sarukad was declared dead. Murhu Police have filed a case based on the survivor’s account and are working to apprehend the culprits, promising a prompt resolution.
