    A violent assault in the Khunti district of Jharkhand has left one man dead and another seriously injured. The attack occurred on Friday night when two friends traveling on a motorcycle were ambushed. The police responded promptly after receiving information from villagers. The body of the deceased has been taken into custody, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

    The victims were returning from Saiko weekly market and were near the Kochadih village bridge when they were targeted. The attackers first used chili powder to impair their vision before attacking them with a sharp weapon. Choyta Sarukad died at the scene. The other man, Singa Munda, was seriously wounded in the attack, and the attackers then fled.

    Villagers discovered the injured men and reported the incident. The injured were transported to a local hospital, where Choyta Sarukad was confirmed dead. The police from the Murhu police station arrived quickly and began the investigation. A case has been registered, and police are actively searching for the perpetrators.
