Hazaribagh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the ‘Pradhan Mantri Tribal Unnat Gram Abhiyan’ (PMJUGA) on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on 2nd October. Under this scheme, work will be done for the overall development of more than 63,000 tribal villages of the country. The objective of this scheme is to empower the tribal communities by bringing them into the mainstream.

PM started his address at the Parivartan Rally with Jai Johar. PM said that the alliance of Congress, JMM and RJD is the biggest obstacle in the development of Jharkhand. The state will develop only when they are removed from power.

Congress erased the identity of tribals to give identity to one family. All the schemes, all the roads are in the name of one family. Such thinking caused great harm to the country. BJP is the party which saw the dream of Jharkhand and also fulfilled it.

PM Modi launches Rural Abha Project

PM Modi started his address on this occasion with Jai Johar. PM Modi said that today is Gandhi Jayanti. I am happy that today on this occasion, Dharti Abha Tribal Gram Utkarsh Yojana is being launched. Today, I am once again getting the privilege of being a participant in the development journey of Jharkhand. I came to Jamshedpur just a few days ago. From Jamshedpur, I had launched hundreds of development schemes for Jharkhand. Thousands of people of Jharkhand had got permanent houses under PM Awas Yojana.

Foundation stone laying and inauguration of projects worth Rs 80 thousand crores

PM Modi said that today development projects worth more than Rs 80 thousand crore have been inaugurated and foundation stones laid in Jharkhand. These projects are related to the upliftment of the tribal community of Jharkhand. This is proof of the priority being given to the tribal community of the country by the Government of India. I thank all the people of Jharkhand and the countrymen for these development works.

More than 5 crore tribals will get development

PMJUGA aims to benefit more than 5 crore tribals. Under this scheme, 20 lakh houses, 25,000 kilometers of rural roads and bridges will be constructed. Apart from this, essential services like clean drinking water, gas and electricity will be provided. A budget of Rs 79,156 crore has been kept for this scheme. Its focus is to promote agriculture and horticulture along with preservation of tribal culture, so that the income of these communities can be improved.

Dialogue with representatives of 33 tribal groups

Prime Minister Modi met representatives of 33 tribal groups from across the country during this program organized at Vinoba Bhave University campus in Hazaribagh. His conversation focused on the importance of this campaign and the positive impact this scheme will have on the future of tribal communities. This campaign is an effort to improve every aspect of tribal life.

End of Parivartan Yatra

In the second phase of this tour, the Prime Minister addressed the concluding rally of BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ at Gandhi Maidan in Hazaribagh. The yatra passed through 76 assembly constituencies and aims to bring political change in Jharkhand. On this occasion, Modi emphasized on the development of the state and tribal empowerment. (BJP

New scheme launched for the fourth time in Hazaribagh

This visit to Hazaribagh holds special significance for Modi as this is the fourth time he has launched a major national scheme from here. Earlier, he had also inaugurated Ayushman Bharat Yojana (2018), Kisan Maandhan Yojana (2019), and Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (2023) from Jharkhand. This visit of Prime Minister Modi is also important from the political point of view before the upcoming assembly elections.
