In a chilling crime that has shocked Jharkhand’s Pakur district, a man named Rafayal Soren turned into a beast after suspecting his minor girlfriend of infidelity. Luring her to a secluded field under the pretext of a romantic meeting, Rafayal enlisted his friends to gang-rape the girl before brutally murdering her and dumping her body in the field. This horrific incident unfolded in the Hirapur police station area, exposing the dark underbelly of twisted love and rage.
Police were alerted when the girl’s decomposed body was discovered in an isolated farmland. Swift action by Hirapur police led to the arrest of three suspects, including a minor and Rafayal, the victim’s lover. During interrogation, Rafayal confessed to a long-standing relationship with the girl, dreaming of marriage despite family opposition due to their shared clan. But suspicions of her involvement with another man shattered his illusions.
Blinded by jealousy, Rafayal plotted her elimination. He called her to the field where his accomplices waited. What followed was a nightmarish assault: repeated gang-rape followed by strangulation. The perpetrators left her lifeless body amid the crops, thinking it would go unnoticed. Two adults now languish in jail, while the minor faces juvenile detention.
This case echoes a similar brutality in Ranchi, where a married woman and her husband murdered her lover, severing his neck and genitals before discarding him by Kanchi river. Such stories of love turning lethal underscore the urgent need for awareness on toxic relationships and swift justice. Authorities continue probing for more details, vowing no leniency for such monsters.
