Ranchi. The ruling JMM, Congress and RJD alliance in Jharkhand has also finalized the seat distribution. The alliance was announced in a joint press conference by JMM and Congress on Saturday. However, after this announcement, Lalu Prasad’s party RJD expressed displeasure and said that it was not taken into confidence. RJD said that both the parties have made the announcement unilaterally. However, JMM and Congress have also left seats for RJD and Left parties.
However, on Saturday, several leaders, including JMM leader and state Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Congress’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, announced the seat sharing in a joint press conference. He said- Congress and JMM will contest elections together on 70 seats, information for the remaining 11 seats will be shared soon. Hemant Soren said- brainstorming will be done for other seats. Left parties are also joining us and seats will be shared with them also. It has been agreed to give seven seats to RJD.
It is noteworthy that last time also RJD had contested elections on seven seats but it could win only one seat. Its only MLA Satyanand Bhokta remained a minister for five consecutive years. However, it is believed that out of the 11 seats left by JMM and Congress, four seats will go to the Left Front. If JMM contests on 43 seats like last time, it will mean that Congress will get 27 seats. Last time it had contested on 31 seats. It is noteworthy that last time the seat was not left for the Left Front.
