New Delhi: The Jharkhand Pavilion, participating as the Focus State in the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, is a special attraction for visitors this year, with its display of traditional tribal and silver jewellery drawing audiences. The pavilion established by the Jharkhand government is strongly presenting the state’s cultural heritage, craftsmanship, cottage industries, women entrepreneurship, and rural economy at the national level. The government’s aim is to connect local artisans, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs with larger markets, give their products wider recognition, and empower them economically.

Jharkhand’s Famous Traditional Tribal Jewellery in Demand for Fashion

Jharkhand’s famous tribal jewellery such as Hansuli, Thela, Pairi, Bangari, and other silver and metal ornaments are highly appreciated by people due to their unique designs, traditional techniques, and cultural significance. Stall operator Geeta Rani mentioned that distinctive designs, cultural identity, and affordable prices have quickly made Jharkhand’s jewellery a favourite among visitors. The growing interest and presence of youth in the pavilion clearly indicate the rising demand for traditional fashion.

Tribal Art Gets a Broad Platform at the India International Trade Fair

Government efforts such as stall subsidies, product promotion, market linkage, design development assistance, and training programs have given a new identity to local communities. As a result of this active collaboration, not only has tribal art received a broad platform, but the opportunity to establish Jharkhand as a major hub for traditional art, silver jewellery, and handicrafts has also been strengthened.
