RANCHI: In a series of significant engagements at his Kanke Road residence office on Saturday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren hosted key visitors focused on agriculture and community welfare. Leading the discussions was Dr. S.C. Dubey, Vice-Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University (BAU), Ranchi, who paid a courtesy call to the Chief Minister.

Dr. Dubey extended a formal invitation to CM Soren to grace the inaugural ceremony of the upcoming Kisan Agro-Tech Fair, scheduled from March 14 to 16, 2026, at the BAU grounds. This major event promises to showcase cutting-edge agricultural innovations, research breakthroughs, and farmer-centric solutions vital for Jharkhand’s rural economy.

During the interaction, the Vice-Chancellor provided a comprehensive update on BAU’s ongoing academic programs, pioneering research initiatives, and dedicated efforts to uplift farmers across the state. CM Soren expressed keen interest in these developments, underscoring the government’s commitment to agricultural advancement as a cornerstone of Jharkhand’s growth strategy.

In a parallel meeting, a delegation from the Digambar Jain Panchayat, Ranchi, met with the Chief Minister to discuss pressing social and religious matters. The representatives presented a range of community concerns, which Soren listened to attentively, assuring full governmental support and collaboration to address them effectively.

These meetings highlighted broader themes of state development, agricultural progress, and inclusive social participation. As Jharkhand navigates its path towards sustainable growth, such interactions between leadership and stakeholders reinforce a collaborative approach to tackling regional challenges and opportunities.
