    IHM Ranchi is set to enhance its facilities with the groundbreaking ceremony for a new auditorium, an executive development center, and an expanded girls’ hostel. The event was inaugurated by state ministers Shilpi Neha Tirkey and Sudivyav Kumar Sonu. During the ceremony, Minister Tirkey put forth a proposal to develop Mandar College into a specialized center for Small Nagpur Studies and Research. She commended the sustained academic achievements of young individuals from Mandar, citing their consistent performance in examinations from school level to JPSC. Minister Tirkey urged the Higher and Technical Education Department to give serious consideration to this initiative, recognizing the unique cultural and traditional significance of Southern Chotanagpur. She also acknowledged the valuable learning experiences students gain at IHM. The Minister reiterated that fostering social, cultural, and educational growth is essential for realizing the vision of ‘Sonanjharhand’.

    Minister Sonu, representing the Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs ministry, described Jharkhand as a state with a profound and distinct identity, encompassing its unique cultural expressions, languages, and customs. He observed that contemporary youth possess a strong understanding and connection to the state’s heritage, a legacy of its hard-won formation. He noted the evolution of career prospects in hospitality, attributing this positive change to the presence of institutions like IHM. Minister Sonu emphasized the critical need for employment generation within Jharkhand. He assured unwavering support from the Tourism Department for IHM’s growth, ensuring that government initiatives aimed at promoting tourism would benefit the institute. The ceremony was attended by IHM’s principal, staff, and various community members.
