The midday horror unfolded inside their home, leaving the streets echoing with gunfire and grief.
Eyewitnesses described the chaos as the sound of gunshots pierced the afternoon calm. By the time neighbors rushed to the scene, Tarannum lay motionless in a pool of her own blood inside the couple’s room. The accused husband fled the spot immediately, sparking a massive police manhunt.
Police from Dorunda station, led by Hatia DSP PK Mishra, arrived swiftly. They secured the crime scene and summoned the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to collect crucial evidence. Initial investigations point to a domestic dispute fueled by Tauqir’s extramarital affair.
