In a shocking incident that has stunned the quiet neighborhood of Manitola in Ranchi’s Dorunda area, a woman named Tarannum Parveen, also known as Rani, was brutally shot dead by her own husband, Tauqir Ansari alias Sahab. The midday horror unfolded inside their home, leaving the streets echoing with gunfire and grief.
Eyewitnesses described the chaos as the sound of gunshots pierced the afternoon calm. By the time neighbors rushed to the scene, Tarannum lay motionless in a pool of her own blood inside the couple’s room. The accused husband fled the spot immediately, sparking a massive police manhunt.
Police from Dorunda station, led by Hatia DSP PK Mishra, arrived swiftly. They secured the crime scene and summoned the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to collect crucial evidence. Initial investigations point to a domestic dispute fueled by Tauqir’s extramarital affair. The plumber by profession had been locked in frequent arguments with his wife, who opposed his illicit relationship.
Locals revealed that such fights were commonplace in the household. Tauqir’s reckless lifestyle clashed with Tarannum’s pleas, culminating in this fatal outburst. The couple leaves behind three young children—two sons and a daughter—now orphaned by this tragedy.
Tarannum’s family has demanded the strictest punishment, including the death penalty, for the perpetrator. Hatia DSP Pramod Kumar Mishra confirmed that preliminary probes confirm the motive as opposition to the affair. Forensic experts are meticulously analyzing the scene, while raids continue to nab the fugitive husband. Authorities assure the public that justice will be swift, underscoring the rising concerns over domestic violence in the region.
