Deviyapur village in Koderma witnessed an emotional scene on Friday as the body of CRPF jawan Sujit, who perished on duty in Srinagar, was brought back wrapped in the Indian tricolor. The coffin was received by a massive gathering at the village’s main entrance, with thousands turning out to honor their fallen hero. The air was thick with sorrow as families and community members paid their last respects. Sujit was remembered by the villagers as a person of quiet demeanor, deeply devoted to his country, and a true embodiment of sacrifice. The sight of the coffin evoked widespread sadness. His final journey was marked by a procession through the village, with the community walking together, raising slogans of ‘Sujit Amar Rahe’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ filling the air with patriotic fervor. At the Dhobiya Deeh riverside cremation ground, armed forces personnel provided a Guard of Honour, a tribute to his bravery. The sheer number of people present affirmed Sujit’s status as a beloved figure and a symbol of regional pride. It was also noted that his elder brother, Vikas Kumar Singh, serves in the CRPF.
