Hemant will become CM again, consensus reached in the meeting of coalition MLAs

Ranchi. Hemant Soren, who came out of jail six days ago, will once again become the CM. There is news of consensus being reached on this in the meeting of the MLAs and prominent leaders of the ruling alliance of Jharkhand. It has been decided that the current CM Champai Soren will resign from the post and Hemant Soren will take oath in his place. However, it has not been officially announced yet. The meeting of the Alliance MLAs, which has been going on since 12 noon at the residence of JMM working president Hemant Soren on Kanke Road, is still going on.

All the MLAs and leaders are still inside Hemant Soren’s residence. It is being told that in the meeting, CM Champai Soren himself proposed to resign and elect Hemant Soren as the leader and all the MLAs agreed to this. Congress party’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress President Rajesh Thakur and prominent leaders of all three alliance parties are present in the meeting. In fact, with former CM Hemant Soren getting regular bail from Jharkhand High Court on June 28 and his release from jail after five months, the political situation in the state suddenly started changing. Hemant Soren met CM Champai Soren on Tuesday evening.

It was also decided in the meeting on Wednesday that Hemant Soren will lead the alliance in the assembly elections to be held in the next three to four months. On January 31, when the ED arrested Hemant Soren in a money laundering case related to the land scam, the ruling alliance had adopted the same method before that. The MLAs of the alliance had authorized Hemant Soren to take decisions. As soon as the ED arrested him, he immediately made Champai Soren his successor. When Hemant Soren reached the Raj Bhavan to resign, Champai Soren was also with him and at that very moment he presented his claim to form a new government before the Governor.
