Ranchi. Just as BJP won a big victory in Maharashtra, similarly in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren’s party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has won a big victory. In the history of JMM, that party had never got so many seats. JMM has created a record by winning 34 seats in the 81-member assembly. The JMM-led alliance has secured a huge majority by winning 56 seats. On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party is reduced to 21 seats. His alliance has got a total of 24 seats.
The majority figure in the Jharkhand Assembly is 41 seats, while the alliance of JMM, Congress, RJD and Left parties has won 56 seats. By winning 34 seats, JMM has broken the previous record of winning 30 seats. Congress has won 16 seats. Among the two other allies, RJD has got four seats and Left has got two seats. On the other hand, BJP has got 21 seats in NDA, while its three allies, JDU, LJP and AJSU have got one seat each.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren won from Barheth assembly seat by about 40 thousand votes. His wife Kalpana Soren won the election from Gandey seat. He won this seat for the first time in the by-election this year. BJP’s undeclared chief ministerial contender and state BJP president Babulal Marandi won the elections from Raj Dhanwar seat. BJP legislative party leader Amar Bauri lost the election in the assembly. Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda’s wife Meera Munda, Madhu Koda’s wife Geeta Koda and Champai Soren’s son Babulal Soren lost the election. Champai Soren himself won the election from Seraikela seat.
After the election results, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that ‘India’s performance in the elections was very good. He said- I want to thank the people of all communities, farmers, women and youth. I also thank the leaders present on the ground. Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren said after winning the elections – The people of Gandey loved me like a daughter. Thank him very much for this. May you continue to receive everyone’s love and blessings, this is my prayer.
After the election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media platform X – Heartfelt thanks to the people of Jharkhand for giving a huge mandate to ‘India’. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Congress and all JMM workers for this victory. This victory of the alliance in the state is a victory for the protection of water, forest and land along with the Constitution. Regarding Maharashtra, he said that the party will review the results there.
