Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren used the final day of the monsoon session to criticize the central government, accusing them of obstructing government functions and controlling key institutions. He suggested that legal processes are being manipulated to serve specific interests.

Soren argued that the state government is committed to the welfare of its people, contrasting it with the situation in states governed by the opposition, where he alleged that tribal communities and minorities are suffering. He referenced the case of Ladakh to highlight the government’s alleged undermining of individuals’ work. He brought up proposed legal amendments, questioning their motives and highlighting the importance of every vote in the electoral process. He also accused the government of influencing the Election Commission and creating laws to protect those in power.

He criticized the government’s actions, arguing that they are superficial and designed to mislead the public. He also mentioned the cancellation of a program for Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary. Soren pointed out the wealth generated from Jharkhand’s mineral resources, and criticized the environmental damage and health problems caused by the mining industry.

Soren claimed that the Prime Minister’s Office monitors the auction of key resources, and warned that mining could dominate the region. He argued that Jharkhand is paying a heavy price for national development and called for a long-term action plan. He accused the opposition of exploiting the name “RIMS Two” for political gain, engaging in dirty politics, and creating fake political parties.

Soren concluded by emphasizing the state’s progress and calling for positive political cooperation. He questioned the opposition’s intentions, asking if they aim to create a world leader or enrich themselves. He also mentioned the Jharkhand Assembly’s proposal to award the Bharat Ratna to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.
