Giridih is witnessing a major push towards traffic reform with the recent clearing of encroachments along Jhanda Maidan Road, specifically near S.J. Boss School. The area has long suffered from severe traffic jams exacerbated by the unchecked parking of numerous Toto-rickshaws. Following an inspection by Sadar SDO Shrikanth Yashwant Bispute, unauthorized roadside vendors have been removed, and measures are being put in place to create designated parking zones for both Totos and private cars. This initiative aims to resolve the long-standing traffic issues plaguing the locality. The administration is also reclaiming government buildings that were under illegal occupation, with plans to shift district offices into these renovated spaces. This multi-pronged approach is set to enhance urban mobility in Giridih.
