A potentially dangerous situation unfolded on the Delhi-Ranchi Garib Rath train on Tuesday when smoke started to come out of coach G-5. The incident caused chaos and panic among passengers, leading several to jump from the moving train in an attempt to escape. While some passengers sustained injuries, there were no reports of serious harm. The train, identified as train number 12878, departed Delhi at 4:10 PM and the smoke was noticed around 5:30 PM between Ghaziabad and Khurda. The TT immediately informed the guard and the loco pilot. Although the train slowed down, many passengers jumped off due to fear. After the train stopped, railway staff investigated the cause, but passengers were not informed. After a delay of about 35 minutes, passengers were asked to re-enter the coach and were told the issue was resolved. Senior DCM Shuchi Singh has stated that she has no information about the incident.
