A horrifying incident has come to light in the Golmuri area, where 22-year-old Ajay Basa, known as Jhattu, was murdered. The investigation reveals a disturbing tale of ritualistic sacrifice, with Ajay’s friend, Sandeep Prasad, allegedly offering him to gain “Siddhi” through tantra-mantra. Police have apprehended Sandeep and four others involved in the crime.
The details of the murder, which occurred on Monday, have shocked the entire city. Police investigations show that Sandeep, Ajay’s neighbor and friend, along with his brother, mother, brother-in-law, and Bharat, a resident of Kewaltown, were all involved in the heinous act. All five have been arrested.
During interrogation, it was revealed that Sandeep had been practicing tantra-mantra for an extended period. He had been planning for three years to sacrifice his friend Ajay to attain “Siddhi.” Bharat, who was aware of the plan, did not report it out of fear.
The investigation shows that on Monday, Sandeep and Bharat purchased a large iron box and stored it in a rented room in Kewaltown. Sandeep then lured Ajay to this room under the pretense of a “party.” Ajay was given alcohol and rendered unconscious. His hands and feet were bound, and he was placed in the box.
Later that night, Sandeep brought the boxed Ajay to his home and began performing tantra-mantra rituals. Around midnight, he slit Ajay’s throat with a sharp weapon, sacrificing him. According to police, Ajay’s blood was used in the rituals. After Ajay began to struggle, his body was disposed of in the lane next to Sandeep’s house.
Upon receiving information, Golmuri police station in-charge Sanjay Suman arrived at the scene with his team and sent the injured Ajay to the hospital, but he died on the way.
Sandeep also made a shocking confession to the police. He admitted that he had previously caused the death of Ajay’s father, Jagdish Basa, a year ago, using tantra-mantra. He then acquired the father’s hotel. Sandeep claimed that he had controlled Ajay through his tantra-mantra powers and had long been preparing for the sacrifice.
The accused’s father and sister also died under mysterious circumstances. The father is believed to have committed suicide five years ago, while the sister’s death is considered suspicious.
The police have seized the box, knife, and other ritualistic items from the crime scene.
