    As part of a state-led initiative against prohibited substances, East Singhbhum district has launched a special awareness campaign. The campaign aims to combat drug addiction. The Deputy Commissioner, Karn Satyarthi, initiated the campaign by sending off an awareness chariot from the Collectorate. This chariot will navigate the district’s various blocks to inform residents about the negative impacts of substance abuse. A pledge against drug use was administered to all officers and employees at the Collectorate. The Deputy Commissioner stressed that drug addiction jeopardizes health, future opportunities, family unity, and societal progress. The administration calls upon all segments of society to actively participate in building a drug-free community. The campaign, scheduled from June 10 to June 26, 2025, will feature various awareness programs to educate the public about the detrimental consequences of drug abuse.
