A horrific crime has shaken Jirapara village in Jamshedpur’s Chakulia police station area, where a son is accused of murdering his mother. Jabbar Singh allegedly used a bladed weapon to kill his 77-year-old mother, Sudha Bala Devi. The suspect confessed to the crime and surrendered to the police on Thursday morning, bringing a swift end to his evasion.

The incident occurred late Wednesday night. The victim was found deceased on her bed. Notably, the accused, Jabbar Singh, was the sole occupant of the house at the time, as his son, Mangal Singh, was away at his in-laws’ residence. Sources indicate that a dispute within the family may have escalated to this tragic outcome.

Police quickly responded to the scene after being notified, initiating an investigation and arranging for the body’s transport for autopsy. The grim event drew a crowd of concerned villagers to the vicinity of the victim’s home. Law enforcement is currently gathering information from Jabbar Singh and is actively attempting to recover the discarded weapon. The son, Mangal Singh, is also expected to provide his account to aid in establishing the full details of the murder.
