In a move towards complete digitization, the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand has mandated that the e-office system be made 100% error-free. The IT department has been tasked with ensuring the system’s seamless functionality. Discussions were held with the heads of various departments to facilitate successful implementation. The state government’s IT department has initiated an action plan to support this transition. The target for the e-office system’s full operationalization is January 2026. The Chief Secretary directed technical experts from RailTel, NIC and JAPIT to establish a clear timeline for execution. The focus is on safeguarding sensitive government files from cyber threats and implementing efficient technical infrastructure to prevent delays. The initiative also includes enabling e-office operations from external locations. The initial step in this process involves digitizing all existing files by scanning and uploading them as PDFs. The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of e-office light on Monday.
