In a move to aid students from Jharkhand preparing for the UPSC exams, the state government will be providing hostel facilities in Delhi. This was announced by Welfare Minister Chamra Linda. The Minister was the chief guest at a cultural dance competition organized by the Tribal Society at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. During his address, he stated that the decision was inspired by the Meena community’s initiative. He explained that the Meena community officials constructed a building in Delhi’s Dwarka area for their community’s students, serving as a model for Jharkhand’s government.
He emphasized the need for greater representation of tribal youth in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and other top services, recognizing the critical roles senior administrative officers, alongside ministers, hold in state development. The minister motivated the youth to pursue their goals with dedication and unlock their potential through education.
