Surya Hansda, who was killed in a police encounter, was involved in numerous criminal cases. In January alone, three cases were registered against him in Godda and Sahibganj districts of Jharkhand. These cases primarily involved incidents like firing 30 to 40 rounds in the ECL mining area, setting fire to a Hyva truck, and arson near a petrol pump in Sahibganj. Hansda was implicated in dozens of cases, including kidnapping, murder, and robbery.
