Consensus reached on seat sharing in NDA

Ranchi. Seats have been divided among the constituent parties of NDA for the assembly elections in Jharkhand. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest elections on 68 seats in the state. AJSU Party (All Jharkhand Students Union) will contest on 10 seats, Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) on two seats and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on one seat. BJP and AJSU leaders announced seat sharing in a joint press conference held at the Jharkhand BJP state office in Harmu, Ranchi on Friday. As per the agreement, AJSU party has been given seats of Silli, Ramgarh, Gomia, Ichagarh, Mandu, Julsalai, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardaga and Manoharpur. Janata Dal United has got Jamshedpur West and Tamar assembly seats, while Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) has been given Chatra Sadar assembly seat. Assam Chief Minister and BJP Jharkhand election co-incharge Himanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing a press conference, said that the seat sharing has been announced after talks with all the parties. However, there is a possibility of change in one or two seats with mutual consent. He said that NDA will enter the election field with full strength.

We are confident that we will form a majority government in the state. BJP state president Babulal Marandi said that the people of the state are troubled by the current Hemant Soren government. He did not fulfill even a single promise made to the youth, women and backward classes of the state. CM Soren had said that if he could not provide government jobs to five lakh youth of the state, he would retire from politics. Even after this, how will he ask for votes from the youth and the people of the state. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, AJSU Party President Sudesh Mahato and Chandraprakash Chaudhary were also present in the press conference. On this occasion, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato said that he will work to warn the public about the current situation in Jharkhand. This election will be fought under the guidance of PM Modi. He expressed confidence that NDA government will be formed in the state. Let us tell you that voting will be held in two phases on 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. In the first phase, voting will be held on 43 seats on November 13 and in the second phase, voting will be held on 38 seats on November 20. Whereas the results of the elections will be declared on 23 November.
