Bharat Kapoor, the brother of Minister Yogendra Prasad, was cremated on Thursday morning at the Damodar River in Borobing. The funeral procession started at 8 AM, with Minister Yogendra Prasad, his brother Chitragupt Mahto, and his son Vinay Kapoor carrying the bier. Aditya Kapoor, son of the deceased, performed the last rites in front of a large crowd. JMM Central Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and State Minister Fagu Besra, along with other officials, attended the ceremony. Giridih MP Chandraprakash Choudhary and MLA Roshanlal Choudhary offered their respects at Kapoor’s residence. Mourners from Bokaro and Ramgarh districts, along with thousands from Gomia and Ramgarh, also participated. Bharat Kapoor passed away in Hyderabad’s AIG Hospital on July 2 after being hospitalized for nine days.
