Ranchi: Chief Minister Champai Soren today conducted a high-level review of the updated status of the work being done regarding law and order in the state, traffic system in Ranchi, road safety and crime control in the Jharkhand Ministry. On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officials to control the incidents of crime in the state at all costs. List the trend of criminal incidents occurring in the state. The Chief Minister asked the officials to separately review the criminal cases that have occurred in the state in the recent past such as murder, dacoity, robbery, snatching, theft, cyber crime and other various cases. The Chief Minister said that building a crime-free Jharkhand is the priority of his government. The Chief Minister directed the officials to investigate criminal incidents related to land buying and selling and ensure strict action against those involved. Those criminals who have committed incidents of murder and fraud related to buying and selling of land should be identified and punished on priority. The Chief Minister asked the officials to make people aware to stop opium cultivation. To stop opium cultivation, run an awareness campaign to save the jungles by involving village committees. The Chief Minister said that in recent times there have been reports of incidents related to cyber crime. Action should also be taken on cyber crime as a priority. It is important to be cautious about cyber crime and make people aware about it.
Improve maintenance of law and order in Dhanbad district
Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren instructed the DGP that in the last few months, other criminal incidents including organized crime have been carried out in Dhanbad district. The administration should keep a special eye on the maintenance of law and order in Dhanbad district. The Chief Minister directed the officers to immediately complete the investigation of the incidents that took place in Dhanbad in the past few days and ensure that the police take strict action against the culprits. The Chief Minister said that the administration should work with commitment to ensure that criminal incidents do not recur in Dhanbad. Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren told the officials that in the last few days, vandalism and other incidents have been carried out by anti-social elements at many religious places within the state. The criminals involved in such incidents should be arrested as soon as possible. The Chief Minister said that criminal incidents happen at isolated places but these incidents have an impact on the entire state, hence it is necessary that the criminals associated with such incidents get the harshest punishment. The Chief Minister said that an incident happens at one place but because of that incident the image of the entire state gets tarnished. The Chief Minister asked the officials to conduct a thorough investigation to find out for what purpose anti-social elements are carrying out criminal incidents at religious places. It is the moral responsibility of all of us to maintain mutual brotherhood and cordial environment within the state. Only if the police administration ensures prompt action on all these matters will there be success in crime control.
Facilitate traffic flow in the city
Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren directed the officials that for the convenience of the general public, it is necessary to ease the traffic system in the city. The Chief Minister said that if traffic related problems arise in the city due to various types of construction work like flyover construction, water pipeline work, construction of drain etc., then alternative solutions to all these problems will be found to free the general public from the problem of traffic jam. Get rid of. The Chief Minister directed the officials to take action towards granting permits and determining routes to auto rickshaw and e-rickshaw drivers plying in Ranchi city. The Chief Minister said that the traffic problem can be solved only if work is done with commitment to improve the operational system within Ranchi city. The Chief Minister directed that the passengers of the city buses run by the Municipal Corporation should ensure determination of stops and timings so that the passengers can get convenience. In the meeting, the officials informed the Chief Minister that in order to improve the traffic system of Ranchi city, it is necessary that the roadside shops should be arranged by constructing vending zones, for this purpose, Ranchi Municipal Corporation has set up vending zones at 11 identified places in the city. But further action is being taken towards creating a vending zone. The Chief Minister told the officials that if any problem is arising in the construction of the vending zone, then they should resolve the problems as soon as possible by holding a meeting with the Chief Secretary and establishing coordination with various departments.
Stop illegal mining, ensure action against those involved in illegal mining
Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren said that illegal mining is a big issue in the state. The image of the state is being tarnished due to illegal mining. Special vigilance is needed to prevent illegal mining. Police should ensure legal action against people involved in illegal mining. The Chief Minister directed the officials to activate the task force formed to prevent illegal mining at the state and district level. The Chief Minister told the officials that all necessary steps should be taken to stop illegal mining and transportation of coal, sand, iron ore, stone and other mineral resources. The Chief Minister told the officials that in the name of stopping illegal mining, not only stop the vehicles and register FIR, but also ensure to investigate how coal is loaded in the vehicles without challan. The Chief Minister said that the responsibility of the coal companies doing mining work should be fixed so that coal cannot be loaded into vehicles without challan. The Chief Minister said that if there is any collusion within the system, it should be investigated and strict action should be taken against the culprits. The officials informed the Chief Minister that till January 31, 2024, 1632 FIRs related to illegal mining have been registered. 4557 vehicles have been seized and an amount of more than Rs 13 crore has been recovered as fine.
Officials should ensure availability of sand
Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren said that the tender processes of sand ghats in the state should be expedited. It should be ensured that sand is easily made available to the people of the state. The Chief Minister said that the process of operating the 369 sand ghats identified as Category-I at the Gram Panchayat level should be completed soon. Gram Panchayat will operate 369 sand ghats in the state, only then the demand of sand can be met not only in rural areas but also in urban areas. In this context, the officials informed the Chief Minister that a decision has been taken to operate 369 sand ghats at the Panchayat level, all the process of operation will be completed soon. Officials informed the Chief Minister that the tender for 444 Category-II sand ghats in the state has been finalized. Out of 444 sand ghats, MDO agency of 241 sand ghats has been finalized. Agreement has been made with 116 MDO agencies, once environmental clearance is obtained, sand lifting work can be started in all these 116 ghats.
