KHUNTI: In a fiery address at a massive Hindu conference, Vishwa Hindu Parishad central general secretary Milind Parande dropped a bombshell claim: Christians who have abandoned tribal traditions are cornering 80 percent of the reservation meant for genuine Adivasis, robbing true tribals of their rightful share.
Speaking as the chief guest at the Virat Hindu Sammelan organized by Sarv Sanatan Samaj on Friday, Parande painted a grim picture of demographic shifts threatening Hindu identity. ‘Hindus are shrinking their own numbers while Muslim and Christian populations surge unchecked,’ he declared. He pointed out that over 50 Islamic nations and 120 Christian countries dominate the world map, leaving India and Nepal as the only Hindu-majority strongholds.
Parande urged Hindus to wake up to the existential crisis. ‘Our ancient society, enduring for millennia, faces dilution from within,’ he said, invoking the Ram Temple movement. He highlighted how soil from nearly 2,000 villages in Jharkhand contributed to Ayodhya’s sacred reconstruction, symbolizing unbroken traditions.
The VHP leader accused post-1947 Christian missionaries of hijacking tribal quotas originally designed to protect Adivasi culture, rituals, and identity enshrined in the Constitution. He recalled tribal leader Kartik Oraon’s failed bill to bar Christian converts from ST benefits, rejected by the government of the time.
RSS provincial pracharak Gopal Sharma echoed these concerns, noting centuries of invasions that demolished temples and fractured Hindu unity. ‘We Hindus are this land’s original inhabitants,’ he asserted, calling for renewed commitment to family, traditions, and national strength through organization. The event drew hundreds, including Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra’s Musafir Vishwakarma and local VHP leaders.
