Chilling Discovery: Missing Palamu Girl’s Body Found in Well

Chains of fear have gripped the residents of Kosiyara village in Palamu, Chainpur, after the body of a 10-year-old girl, Ritu Kumari, was retrieved from a village well. Ritu, the daughter of Ram Vinay Chaurasia, had been missing since Friday evening. She was last seen heading to the agricultural fields to take food to her sister. Her failure to return home prompted immediate concern from her family, who initiated a search and subsequently filed a missing person report. The search efforts tragically led to the discovery of her lifeless body in a well. Upon receiving this devastating news, local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Alok Chaurasia promptly arrived at the location. He promptly alerted the police, who then worked to extract the body from the well. Law enforcement officials are treating this as a potential homicide, believing the child was murdered and her body hidden. MLA Alok Chaurasia conveyed his deepest condolences and urged the police to conduct a swift and impartial inquiry, emphasizing the need for the perpetrators to be apprehended and severely punished. A formal investigation has been launched by the police. The shocking nature of this crime has created an atmosphere of terror and anger in the community. The body has been sent for forensic examination.
