A five-year-old girl was the victim of a sexual assault at a wedding in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The accused took the girl to a secluded garden on the pretense of offering her mangoes.
The assault was discovered when the child returned home in distress. Medical attention was immediately provided, with the child initially treated at the Chanho CSC and later transferred to RIMS hospital in Ranchi.
Following the incident, locals confronted and attacked the suspect, Karmadev Urav. The police intervened, rescued the man, and took him into custody. Legal proceedings are underway, with a case filed under relevant laws.
