Cheater defrauded crores of rupees by pledging fake gold in the bank, FIR lodged against 32 people

Dhanbad: Two years ago, the bank in which a loan worth crores of rupees was taken by pledging gold jewellery. All those gold ornaments turned out to be fake. The matter came to light when the bank stopped receiving the loan installments. After which the gold jewelery kept in the bank as pledge was taken out for auction. While valuing the jewellery, the gold jewelery was found to be fake. The collusion of bank employees has come to light in this. An FIR has been lodged by the bank against a total of 32 people. Out of which four bank employees are also included.

The matter pertains to the Bank of India branch located in Saraidhela police station area of ​​the district. Bank manager Vishwa Pratap Singh said that about 28 people had defrauded the bank of Rs 1.24 crore by pledging 3.5 kg of fake gold jewellery. Four bank employees are also involved in this fraud incident.

The bank manager told that about 28 different people had taken loan from the bank by mortgaging fake gold jewelery in the Bank of India branch located in Saraidhela police station area. People who had mortgaged gold jewelery stopped paying installments to the bank. After which the matter came to light. The gold jewelery kept as pledge in the bank was to be valued for auction. During this time it was revealed that all the jewelery was fake.
