Champai Soren, former Jharkhand CM, met Amit Shah

New Delhi. The way has been cleared for former Jharkhand Chief Minister and senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Champai Soren to join the BJP. He will join the BJP in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi on August 30. Amid reports of displeasure with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and CM Hemant Soren, Champai Soren reached Delhi on Monday and met Union Home Minister Amit Shah late at night. In this meeting, the way for him to join the BJP was also cleared.

In a setback to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand State Election Co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma, who played a key role in joining his party’s senior leader Champai Soren with the BJP, announced his joining the BJP. Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a picture of his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Champai Soren and posted on Instagram that former Jharkhand Chief Minister and the country’s reputed tribal leader Champai Soren met the Honorable Union Home Minister Amit Shah a short while ago.

He will officially join the BJP in Ranchi on August 30. Earlier, Sudesh Mahto, the head of AJSU, an ally of the BJP in Jharkhand, also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday and put forth his demand regarding the possible seats for his party. However, many more rounds of talks are yet to be held between the BJP and AJSU regarding seat sharing.

But while sharing the pictures of the meeting with Shah, Sudesh Mahato also talked about strengthening the NDA. The AJSU chief said on Twitter that today I met the Honorable Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah ji in New Delhi. On this occasion, there was an in-depth discussion on various topics related to the development of Jharkhand, the current political situation and the upcoming assembly elections. The NDA government is necessary for Jharkhand and we will fight the elections unitedly.
