A shocking road accident in Kadokoda village, within the jurisdiction of Jagannathpur police station in West Singhbhum, has resulted in the untimely death of a young man. The victim, identified as 28-year-old Golak Nayak, alias Hariom Nayak, from Kadokoda Adivasi Toli, was reportedly sitting outside his home on Monday morning when a tractor backing up accidentally ran over him.
The tragic event unfolded as Hariom Nayak was enjoying the morning sunlight. The tractor driver, allegedly not aware of the youth’s presence, backed the vehicle directly into him. The accident caused severe injuries and profuse bleeding, leading to his death at the very spot where the incident occurred.
The news of the fatality sent waves of anger through the village community, prompting them to voice their protest. Responding to the situation, a police team led by Jagannathpur Station In-charge Avinash Hembram arrived at the scene to de-escalate the tension. The tractor has been taken into police custody, and the deceased’s body has been sent for post-mortem analysis to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the accident.
