A reckless act of driving under the influence led to a collision on Ranchi’s Chutia Main Road late Monday night. A driver, allegedly inebriated, lost control of their car and slammed into a stationary vehicle parked along the street. The driver then reportedly made a swift escape on foot, leaving their damaged car at the crash site. Local shopkeepers and eyewitnesses pinpointed the time of the incident to be around 1 AM. The vehicle in question, a white car with registration plate JH01FB5790, was reportedly speeding. As it navigated Chutia Main Road, it struck a parked car positioned beneath a shop’s shed. The police were informed that the driver was believed to be intoxicated, a detail corroborated by local business owners. A police spokesperson confirmed the two-vehicle collision and assured that a comprehensive inquiry is being conducted to identify and hold the responsible party accountable.
