Mango, East Singhbhum, is grappling with the aftermath of a tragic suicide after 42-year-old car driver Abhijit Ghosh was found dead in his home late Sunday. The resident of Old Subhash Colony reportedly used a rope to hang himself in his room. His family has attributed his desperate act to long-standing financial pressures and severe mental distress.

Ghosh, who earned a living as a car driver, was reportedly under significant pressure due to unpaid car loan installments, amounting to approximately 18,000 rupees. The situation was reportedly worsened by his addiction issues, as noted by his father-in-law, Aushit Bhattacharya. He had reportedly completed a local driving job on Sunday and returned home that evening. Subsequently, he isolated himself in his room, leading to the fatal incident.

Concerned when he didn’t emerge or respond, family members resorted to breaking down his door. They discovered Abhijit Ghosh in a state of hanging. He was rushed to MGM Hospital, but sadly, medical staff confirmed his death. A heavy atmosphere of grief has descended upon the family and neighbors. The authorities have secured the body for post-mortem and are actively investigating the case.
