In response to the severe chill and cold wave sweeping through Palamu district, local public representatives and compassionate individuals have initiated a vital support system for the needy. Ward 33 (Semratand Kalyanpur) within the Medininagar Municipal Corporation was the site for a significant blanket distribution drive aimed at the poor, elderly, and differently-abled. The initiative was a united front, with MP representative Bholanand Pandey, MLA representative Manohar Kumar Lali Gupta, Municipal Corporation Tehsildar Pawan Mehta, and social worker Sandeep Das jointly presenting the blankets. Seeing the relief and joy on the faces of those battling the cold was a powerful testament to the impact of this aid. Pandey noted the escalating intensity of the cold and confirmed that coordinated blanket distribution, with administrative and representative backing, is being implemented across all municipal wards to prevent suffering from the lack of essential warmth. He commended the municipal corporation for its commendable efforts. Gupta pledged that the government’s welfare schemes would be accessible to every poor individual and reaffirmed the commitment to reaching the most marginalized.
