    Another blow to JMM: Lobin Hembram joins BJP

    Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has suffered another major setback. After Champai Soren, JMM’s old and strong leader Lobin Hembram has joined BJP today. Lobin joined the party in a get-together organized at the BJP office at 12 noon today. During this, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Kolhan Tiger and BJP leader Champai Soren, BJP leader Sita Soren, State President Babulal Marandi and Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri were present.

    JMM had expelled him from the party for 6 years

    Lobin Hembram had rebelled against the party and filed an independent nomination to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Due to which JMM took action against Lobin Hembram and expelled him from the party for 6 years in May 2024. Let us tell you that just a month ago, the Speaker Tribunal had terminated his membership after hearing the defection case. Earlier on Friday, Champai Soren had joined BJP. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma had given him party membership.
