    Wednesday marked a pivotal day for 109 families in Torpa, as they joyfully occupied their new residences, a direct result of the state’s progressive housing policies. The Abua Awas Yojana has emerged as a cornerstone of this development, enabling numerous families to finally achieve the security and comfort of owning their homes. The distributed homes comprise 95 Abua Awas units, complemented by 13 Pradhan Mantri Awas homes and one Ambedkar Awas dwelling. The official ceremony, graced by local dignitaries and officials, saw the symbolic handover of keys and certificates to the jubilant beneficiaries. The district council member highlighted the scheme’s role in empowering rural communities and ensuring accessible housing solutions. This milestone underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure and improving the quality of life for its citizens, fostering a sense of pride and belonging among the homeowners.
