Ranchi: A woman and three children died due to bee stings on Sunday in Hardag Garhatoli of Tupudana police station area of the capital. The deceased include mother Jyoti Gadi (25), her two daughters Monika Barla (5) and Manita Barla (1). Jyoti was a resident of Kausambi village of Karra in Khunti district. Another child Rohangadi (8) was a resident of Hardag Garhatoli. Family members said that Jyoti Gadi had come to her maternal home in Hardag Garhatoli of Tupudana police station.
At 11:30, she was taking her children to a well some distance away from her home for a bath. During this time, a flock of bees suddenly attacked. Jyoti ran towards the village with the children. When the villagers got the information of the incident, all were brought to the hospital. But, all died during treatment. The bodies of the mother and both daughters were brought to Karra Kaushambi. Where the last rites were performed according to tribal customs. Whereas, the last rites of Rohan Gadi were performed in Hardag Gadhatoli.
